Alex was fishing in her local snapper competition off Muriwai Beach (NZ) in October 2021, when she landed her incredible 27lb 3oz snapper. After initially thinking it was just another shark, Alex was shocked when she saw a flash of colour and the massive size of it. Alex’s catch landed her in the IGFA record books as the new female junior world record snapper.
