Lightweight fluorocarbon leader is ideal for targeting saltwater and estuarine species like squid, perch and bream. Most of these species spook easily, so the thin diameters and ultra clear line offer an increased level of stealth for these wary species.
Fluorocarbon is a dense and rigid material, which offers a much higher level of abrasion resistance (in comparison to monofilament), meaning it can withstand impact from underwater structure like rocks and weeds, where species like squid like to hide.
Supple Fluorocarbon offers all the features of standard fluorocarbon with the added benefits of more natural presentation and easier knot tying.

Natural bait and lure presentation is important for easily spooked species like squid. Supple Fluorocarbon offers you all the features of standard fluorocarbon, but its suppleness improves your lure and bait presentation and it's much easier to tie knots with.

SQUID SPECIES GUIDE
Squid spook easily, so fluorocarbon leader is the ideal choice when fishing in clear water. This is because fluorocarbon has the same light refracting properties as water, so in clean water, it's nearly invisible. We recommend using 10lb – 12lb Fluorocarbon or Supple Fluorocarbon leader.
