Our recent journey to the open waters of the West Coast (South Island of New Zealand), was nothing short of extraordinary. The thrill of chasing the magnificent bluefin tuna was an experience like no other.
Shane landed an impressive 35kg bluefin on our very first attempt. Cheers erupted as we celebrated the triumph of our first catch, setting the stage for an unforgettable trip.
But the highlight was yet to come.
After a patient wait, Dan found himself in an epic battle with a monstrous bluefin. An hour of intense struggle and determination paid off as he reeled in a 102kg bluefin tuna. The cheers of victory echoed, marking not only a personal achievement but also the first-ever tuna for our series and aboard my new boat, Infamous.
The camaraderie, the highs and lows, the sheer power of these incredible creatures – our journey was a tapestry woven with moments of challenge and triumph. An epic adventure.
